There are fifteen different genre categories: press reportage, press editorial, press reviews, religion, skills and hobbies, popular lore, belles lettres, miscellaneous, learned, general fiction, mystery and detective fiction, science fiction, adventure and western fiction, romance and love story and humour. It was created by Nelson Francis and Henry Kucera in the early 1960s and was one of the first machine-readable corpora ever built. |
